Hi guys, left my PS5 plugged into a wall socket on rest mode overnight to download some games - nothing unusual. Woke up this morning to discover it had turned itself off - weird. No circuit breaker tripped or anything like that.
I tried turning it on but it was completely unresponsive, no lights, sounds, nothing. I moved it to a different plug socket and plugged it in.
As soon as I plugged it in it made a fairly loud pop sound from the power port on the PS5 and tripped the breaker for that socket, the power extension plug I used is also now not working for any device I plug in
Have you guys heard of this happening before? I've been trying to reach Sony about an out of warranty repair but their site is a nightmare trying to navigate so any advice would be welcome.
