Split screen without HDMI on PS3

I have a ps3 and a tv but the tv uses av not hdmi can i still split screen?

I'm not sure what your asking, Split Screen Gaming works
even if you have; AV Cables, Component Cables, Or HDMI Cables...

However, I don't know if that is what your asking, or not?
