PS4 Sound Issue

PS4 that has sound that works via HDMI cable to TV, but does not work with earbuds connected to controller. Also does not work with Bluetooth headset and USB adapter. I have confirmed that all settings are correct, but no matter what I can’t get the audio or mic to work. The only sound I can get to work is over TV speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

Afaik only the official bluetooth headset works with PS5.
As for the controller there’s a option within the audio settings (or controller settings I can’t remember offhand) to allow all audio through the headphone socket, I would turn this on.
