I purchased Conan Exiles on PlayStation, in the compatibility notices it did not state the single player game required an internet connection to access a server. As this was not disclosed before purchase, I only became aware of that fact after downloading the game.
I contacted support for a refund and they stated that since I downloaded the game they would not provide a refund. That is straight up fraud, because they did not disclose that vital information before purchase. So now I have to file fraud reports with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission against Sony PlayStation, as well as have my bank perform a chargeback once the charge goes through. Absolutely Disgusted with Sony at this point. I am encouraging anyone else that Sony PlayStation has done this to, to file against them with the BBB & FTC.

It’s one of the biggest complaints about the refund process - if you download a game then it’s zero refund. Other platforms either allow you to claim a refund after playing the game for 1-2 hrs or within 30 days of purchase without playing the game. I feel Sony should at least offer a refund after 1 hr of gameplay as no all games have a demo version.
Be warned if you do a chargeback then Sony can & will ban your account & perhaps the console. Others have found the same when doing this.
Via the PS app It only says PS+ required for online gaming & that online is optional which suggested to me that the game can be played offline. Is the PS4/5 set to the primary console? If not then this may be why it’s asking to sign in/play online.

I’m the kind of Karen that starts with a capital C, if playstation alters my account due to their fraud against me, they will fafo. I am well versed in federal trade law to handle that. As for the game itself, it relies on a server for single player which requires an internet connection, information PlayStation failed to disclose prior to purchase. It‘s a clear cut case of fraud. The main reason for my post is to encourage others whom have been defrauded by PlayStation to report it to their government agencies that protect consumers. For anyone in the U.S. that is the Federal Trade Commission.
I appreciate your input on this matter, as I was unaware PlayStation had a history of this fraudulent behavior, that may be violating a number of federal trade laws & could potentially lead to class action suits. Thanks☺️

Good luck with it all.
