Hi, I’ve been having a serious problem with Rocket League on my PS4 Pro since downloading Season 20.

Whenever I launch the game, I get to the “press any button” screen. After pressing a button, it starts loading the main menu, but then it freezes. The UI from the “press any button” screen overlaps with the menu, then the screen goes black and I get the error CE-34878-0.

I tried multiple times and it failed every time. I even factory reset my PS4 Pro and redownloaded Rocket League. After that, I made a new account and went through the tutorial stages. During the 2-minute match I could play normally, but when I pressed settings to change bindings, the game froze again and crashed with the same error.

I tried again without opening settings — the match finished, but as soon as it sent me to the main menu, it crashed with CE-34878-0 again.

So right now, I can’t play Rocket League at all.

Has anyone got an answer please? :)

answer:

Currently there is a issue on the ps4 platform with crashing, quote from Psyonix;

"We are investigating an issue causing some players on PS4 and PS4 Pro to crash when attempting to boot up Rocket League. Updates to follow when we identify a fix."

A workaround you can try is by going into the PS settings and opening the sound and screen tab, in there open video output settings and set your resolution to 1080p - it has worked for some players

if it doesn't work you'll have to wait until the devs fix the issue
