Sorry for the noob question but I just bought a PS Portal and a 1 year subscription to Premium. When I tried to play a PS3 game it says "Can't display the screen on the connected console. The screen contains content that can't be displayed using Remote Play." Did some research and apparently you can't play PS3 on a portal. It would have been useful to have known that before I subscribed...but that's my fault. Which is fine...not a deal breaker. What I don't understand because I not a tech guy is if the Portal just Remote Plays through the PS5 why can't it play the PS3 games?

Perhaps it doesn’t have the software for streaming PS3 games which are usually streamed on the PS5 rather than downloaded.
The PlayStation Portal is designed to play PS5 games and does not support playing PS3 games. This limitation is due to the Portal's capabilities, which are primarily focused on remote play and streaming from a PS5 console. PS3 games require a PS5 console to play natively, which the Portal does not have. Therefore, users cannot play PS3 games on the Portal.
