Ps5 remote turn on

Evening all, my son has a ps portal but keeps turning the ps5 off instead of putting it into rest mode. Is there a way of turning it back on remotely whilst off. I have alexa and tell it to turn tv on then hdmi 3 and that sometimes works ,
Is there a hack or devise that mimics a ps5 bluetooth controller?

Does the portal turn the ps5 on if it is in rest mode?
Have you tried using the remote play app to turn the ps5 on? I suspect this would only work if the console is in rest mode but worth trying.

Tbh if the console is off rather than rest mode I doubt any remote connection would work.
