Sound video: Reddit - Dive into anything

Hi yesterday I opened my PS4 Slim, I cleaned the fan and today when I turned it on I started to hear this strange noise from the dvd player. The fans are quieter (as you can hear them in background) but the dvd player is making this noise instead. It sounds like my console is trying to read a game but without the disk inside. Usually I only hear this noise when the disc is inserted, but now I can hear it when my ps4 is on and no disc is in/ no app is open. It's normal? Or I accidentally damaged/moved something while I was cleaning yesterday?

It's possible that something was accidentally moved or damaged during the cleaning process. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check the Connections: Open your PS4 Slim again and carefully check all the connections to the DVD player. Make sure that all cables and connectors are securely attached.

2. Inspect for Obstructions: Look for any foreign objects or debris that might have accidentally gotten inside the DVD drive. Even a small piece of dust can cause issues.

3. Re-seat the Drive: Sometimes, simply re-seating the DVD drive can fix the issue. Disconnect and reconnect the drive carefully to ensure it’s properly aligned and connected.

4. Update the System Software: Ensure your PS4 system software is up to date. Sometimes software updates can fix hardware-related issues.

5. Test with a Disc: Insert a game disc to see if the drive reads it correctly. If it does, the noise might just be the drive performing self-checks. If it doesn't read the disc, there could be a more significant problem.

If you continue to experience issues or if the noise persists, it might be worth consulting with a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem. In the meantime, if you’re looking for an enhanced audio experience while gaming, you might want to check out the migliori cuffie per ps4. High-quality headphones can significantly improve your gaming experience, especially if you need to temporarily avoid using the disc drive.

Hope this helps!
