Hi all,
My old PS3 is starting to show its age now, and the disk drive it struggling to get going everytime I start the console. It tries to spin then stops, tries to spin then stops, so on and so forth. It does this over and over until finally it gets itself going after 3-5 minutes. This happens with any and all disks I put in, so it's not the disks themselves.
My concern is that there's a broken mechanism that's going to be damaging things if not repaired. However, I have zero experience with repairing and don't even know where to start or what could even be causing this problem.
So, does anyone have any ideas on what would be causing this and perhaps point me to any tutorials that could help me repair it? Thank you.
Attached is a video of the issue happening so you can hear the sound it makes.
Thanks.
