PS5 Need the Beta

I applied for the beta more then 3 weeks ago and no answer yet.
I have also bought a new SSD drive and heat sink but have not used them as I do not have the beta.
Is it still required?

I’m sure the update allowing the use of SSD drives has been officially released.

You actual don't need the Beta anymore
