JRPG recommendations

Ever since I played Final Fantasy 14, I’ve been wanting to play something with a similar style. The open world, MMO, the job systems, and trade functions got me hooked on FFXIV, but the subscription charges turn me off anytime i think of playing it again.

I tried ESO and fallout 76 but it just doesn’t have that same feel, and any other game leans towards encouraging micro transactions or linear play style.

Does anyone have PS inclusive recommendations?

Assassin’s Creed Origins & AC Odyssey have quests where you can earn money to use with the weapon upgrade system & are free as part of certain tier PS+.
No micro transactions unless you could buying points to spend in the Ubisoft store (for weapons, armour, mounts etc.)

that was on-brand for both games since they’re RPGs, but for FFXIV the jobs system was on its own a story and a game mechanic that works hand in hand with other jobs, plus some of these jobs were fun distractions from combat or EXP farming/accrual.

AC Origins and Odyssey really started something else I really missed. I might play them soon.
