help with ps5 and new TV

We got my oldest son a PS5 for christmas with a couple games, farming sim 25, hunting sim 2, and NBA 2k25. We also got ourselves a new TV and soundbar, a vizio uhd 4k 75 inch with a 2.1 soundbar. Everything works great except when he plays games, the screen goes black randomly, but you can still hear the game so it doesn't seem to be frozen, seems a display problem. I've played with all sorts of settings in the PS5 and the TV itself and nothing seems to fix it. I feel like its a PS5 issue because when we use the TV by itself, it doesn't happen, only when the PS5 is running. Any ideas?

How is the PS5 connected to the TV?
Have you tried a different cable?

It's connected via the HDMI cable that came with the system. I have a better cable being delivered today that's supposed to be for 4k 120hz to try, maybe that will do the trick.
