PS5 Headset vs ps5

Ok I hope someone can help, I got a ps5 and got some wireless headphones with a usb that I have plugged into to front of the ps5 and I get sound from the headphones but when I turn them off the sound doesn’t come out the tv unless I remove the usb connector from the ps5.. am I needing to change some setting.

turtle beach stealth 600 headphones..

Any help will be amazing please.
