Got a PS3 and now it won't work

It turns on, beeps, the fan starts up... Beeps a bit more then just stops.

Just can't get it to start up at all.. Oh well, end of an era. 🙁

I was playing the original theme park on it at the time, can't play that anymore.
 
You know what, I think you're right... 3 times then just shuts off again.
 
To troubleshoot it properly, it's important to know whether the light blinks, what color the blinking light is, how many times it blinks, how many times the console beeps, etc. All of those things can sometimes be deciphered to mean a specific error message. The model of the PS3 is also important.
 
When I get the chance, I'm going to write these things down.. And check again Obviously I've unplugged it and just use my ps4 now.

If I could play ps3 discs on the ps4, there wouldn't have been a problem. Quite a few games that I can't play. Annoying
