FC25 PS4 version on PS5

I bought FC25 Standard edition (PS5 Disc) and installed it on my PS5.

When I do 'Select Version' and want to select the PS4 version (to play with friends who play FC25 on PS4), I have to purchase it from the store?! there is a LOCK icon on the PS4 version...

I thought you could just switch to the PS4 version for free? (this was possible last year with FIFA24)

(I looked to see if this topic had already been mentioned in this forum but couldn't find it immediately. I also read EA SPORTS FC™ 25 FAQ Double Version)

and I read:

"Yes, with Dual Edition you can access both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of EA SPORTS FC™ 25 on your PlayStation 5, or both the Xbox One and Xbox Series ™ 25 on your Xbox Series X|S.

You can switch back and forth between the versions of the game if they are both installed on your PlayStation®5 or Xbox Series


But why can't I do this?

Unless it states the download version for PS4 is included I’d say the offer is for digital orders only.
Otherwise are you installing the PS4 version on the PS5 or PS4?
Are you signed in with the same account as the disc version is registered?
 
I installed the Disc on my PS5. I did not had to select a version. It just installed.
When I click the 3 dots on the FC25 menu icon, I can select 'Select Version'. When I choose, PS4 version, it has a LOCK icon, and it directs me to the PS Store to by the PS4 Version;

Thanks. Having read the full article Dual entitlement refers to upgrading the PS4 version to PS5. As you purchased the PS5 version dual entitlement doesn’t apply.
Dual Entitlement means you can upgrade your copy of EA SPORTS FC™ 25 from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S at no additional cost.

For clarification you’ll need to contact EA sports.

I have the Disc. If i want to download the ps4 version, I have to buy it in the store.
While again, FC25 indicates you can play both versions , on PS5.
So I assumed when you install the game via the disc, it installs both versions.

IS there anyone who is having the same problem? I have read other posts on other Forums, but no solutions it seems.
