PS4 Dualshock 4 flashing yellow & Faulty R2 Trigger, is this the cause?

Hey everyone, I purchased a “good” used motherboard on eBay to replace the faulty one on my dualshock 4 (jdm-030) but found a capacitor missing (see pictures). The light bar flashes yellow (not orange) when I plug it in to charge and the R2 trigger doesn’t respond unless you press the rubber conductive pad very hard. I purchased new conductive button membranes, but the issue remains. Is the missing capacitor the reason my ds4 is partially working? Thanks in advance.
