Both of my controllers are unable to connect to my PS5. I’ve tried on another PS5 and had no issues. PS5 software and controller firmware are up to date. They work via USB in safe mode but just aren’t recognised when connected via cable. I’ve tried all USB ports and other cables but still no luck. I’ve rest to factory settings in safe mode and reset both controllers. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Anankha,
Yes, both are genuine and I’ve tried the reset

Is there any error?
Do the controllers show any colour light when they don’t connect?
are any other USB devices connected? If yes then try removing them & trying again.
Try disconnecting from the WiFi or removing the ethernet cable & testing again. Some have found this is the cause.
Do you have another controller which works? If so you can go into settings & delete the problem controller, then holding Share + PS buttons until the light rapidly blinks blue to connect to the PS5.

They flash blue when connected via cable and have also had solid blue light suggesting they are connected. I’ve removed the usb for wireless headphones. By resetting to default settings it has disconnected the ps5 from my WiFi.
Also, because I have reset to factory settings it starts up as if it’s a new device
