Hi my name is Paul I am a 61 year old gamer, I recently placed an order on the Sony PlayStation website, I ordered 2x cobalt blue Sony dual-sense controllers and cobalt blue ps5 faceplates to match.
I had my orders delivered to a pick up point shop as I work full time in construction, When I received a message to say my order was ready to collect I picked the packages up on the way home from work. Everything seemed normal when I collected the 2 parcels up as I could see the top of the boxes were still sealed so I never had any suspicions and returned home.
When I got home I could see the smaller box which had the 2x controllers didn’t look right, The bottom of the box looked loose, Basically the bottom of the box had no tape to seal it and the bottom of the box looked loose, On closer inspection I could see the bottom of the box was perforated and half of the bottom of that box had been meticulously opened and one of the controllers was missing.
I contacted the pick up point shop who knew nothing and I also contacted the courier who said they would look into it but I heard nothing so I contacted Sony who gave me a case number and told me someone would contact me for information, I took photos of the box that had been tampered with but never got to send them to Sony as Sony never gave me the chance as they emailed me and told me they spoken to the courier and said the right weight of the parcel was booked in by the courier and they basically called me a liar and a thief and said that was the end of the matter.
It’s one thing to lose £50 but to be branded a thief and a liar is just mind numbing and has caused myself a great deal of anxiety. The controller has obviously been stolen since being loaded onto the DPD van or at the collection point so be careful people if you order anything from Sony and if anything goes missing this is likely how you will be treated.
No one from Sony has given me the chance to speak to them and provide the photos I taken, Disgusting behaviour from a big company as Sony who makes a fortune from people like us.
