Hi

Could anyone help?
Ive just purchased a second hand PS5 Digital Edition 825GB. I was hoping to add an external disk drive but it seems Im unable to!
Could anyone confirm this? or is there a way to connect an external disk drive to pay older PS4 games.

I have a SSD connected to my PS5 for PS4 games. There should be USB ports, one of which is on the back which you can use for a USB HDD/SSD drive.

Thanks. I saw that a hard drive was possible. Can you connect a cd drive? Or can you transfer game to a hrad drive?

Not tried a CD drive but as they usually require external power & some form of audio connection I doubt it can be done.
You can transfer & play PS4 games from an external drive but you can only store PS5 games on an external drive - you’d need to move those games to the internal SSD When you wish to play them. You can also purchase internal SSD (M2?) & store & play PS5 games from this.
