New PS5 controller not working

I just purchased a new PS5 and trying to it up set it up and the PS button
on the controller seems to be not working, I cannot get into setup. Any ideas? Thanks'

Are you using a genuine cable to connect to the PS5?
Did you purchase a new/sealed box or is the console new to you/pre-owned?

Brand New Controller light when pushed, PS Button, but does not work

Connected via wire?
If not then have you paired it first? Share button + ps button long press until lights flash.

Good idea. It’s rare for new gear to be faulty but not unheard of. Let us know if the replacement works.

Ok, Bought another controller-- Same, Still not working
It's going back.

Then there’s a problem with the PS5 or the cable. Are you sure the cable is genuine?

I double checked setting up PS5 controller & it needs connecting via wire first so it can update the firmware then users can set it up to use Bluetooth connection while connected via wire.
