Controller clicking

Hi guys, new here and very much not a gamer. I got a ps5 for my birthday (when we could eventually get one) and recently it has started 'clicking', it sounds like it's coming from the R2 button. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks!

How Recent? Think it is 90 days and best to return for replacement.
Mine started hanging up after 6 months and took apart, not an easy task

It's way out of warranty, it still works fine...just annoying!
